I don’t know about you but I find that dads (and men in general) can be a little hard to shop for sometimes.
So, I thought it would be fun to ask Pablo for some gift ideas for dads to share here on the blog. Everything I’m sharing today was either his idea or approved by him!
Whether you’re shopping for Father’s Day, a birthday, or Christmas, I hope this list of $50 and under gift ideas for dads will have exactly what you didn’t know you were looking for. 😉
And at the very least I hope it will give you a good starting point as you search for that perfect gift for the dad in your life!
$50 and Under Gift Ideas For Dads
1. Steak
When I asked Pablo for some gift ideas for dads, steak was one of the first things he mentioned. Yes, I think it’s really true that the way to a man’s heart is through his belly, ha!
Pablo has been eyeing some of the nice steaks at Costco recently. But wherever it’s from, steak will always be in a win in our household!
If you’re wanting to order steaks online there are multiple subscription box options out there. However, you’re generally going to need to spend a lot more than $50 for that type of thing. So instead, why not grab a couple steaks from the grocery store and plan a special at-home celebration?
2. Neck and Shoulder Massager
I recently purchased this neck and shoulder massager from Amazon for Pablo and he is a huge fan. It provides a great, heated massage and is so convenient and easy to use. At less than $50 (it sometimes goes as low as $30 on sale) it’s a great gift idea for anyone over the age of 30 haha.
3. SprezzaBox
Last fall I got a deal and ordered two boxes from SprezzaBox for Pablo’s birthday. It was so fun to get to get them in the mail and see what each one contained!
In case you’ve never heard of Sprezzabox, it’s a subscription box men. Each month, subscribers receive a selection of 5-6 products both from well-known brands and emerging new brands – things like ties, dress socks, watches, pocket knives, cuff links, etc. Each box is $28 and is guaranteed to have over $100 in retail value!
One of our boxes included a watch that Pablo wears all the time!
4. Favorite drink
Looking for a simple but fun gift for your dad? What about a case of his favorite drink? For Pablo that would be Coke in glass bottles from Mexico! (Fun fact: Coke from Mexico is made with real sugar instead of the syrup that’s in our American Coke!)
Pablo is also a huge fan of Topo Chico in the glass bottles.
5. RTIC tumbler
Going right along with the drink idea, this RTIC tumbler is a favorite gift I’ve gotten for Pablo! He uses it all the time and it works super well. RTIC tumblers are less expensive than some other well-known brands but work just as well or better!
6. Mini-fridge
How cute is this mini-fridge? Pablo showed the mini-fridge to me and I think it looks perfect for keeping a couple drinks and snacks cold right on your husband or dad’s desk at work!
7. Picture frame
I got a fun Dad picture frame for Pablo to take to work a couple years ago and he loved it. Embarrassingly, it took me another whole year to get a picture in it. Oops. So my suggestion? Print a picture and stick it in the frame before you wrap it. 😉
Check out Amazon’s large selection of Dad picture frames here!
8. Book
Books make a great gift if your husband or dad like to read. Here are a few that Pablo enjoyed and recommends:
- Winning Now Winning Later by David Cote
- Working Backwards by Colin Bryar and Bill Carr
- Be Our Guest by The Disney Institute
9. Moon ball
Looking for something fun for your kids to give their dad? Grab one of these fun moon balls! Even “grown-ups” enjoy playing with a moon ball. 😉 Moon balls would make a great stocking stuffer as well if you’re shopping for Christmas gifts.
9. Cologne
Cologne will always be a classic gift for dads. If you’re not sure what to get, Pi by Givenchy is a fantastic choice!
(Keep in mind that the price on the cologne I linked above does fluctuate, so at times it will be more than $50.)
10. Fun Dad shirt
Pablo and I had fun browsing the huge selection of Dad shirts on Amazon. There’s something for everyone! Here are two of our favorites:
11. Nice coffee
Nice coffee is always a winning gift for Pablo (and probably for most dads!) I got him some Don Pablo coffee from Amazon one year because it felt perfect for him haha.
There are also a couple different coffee subscription boxes out there now. We haven’t tried any yet so I can’t personally recommend one but I think something like that is a fun gift idea for dads!
12. BUG-A-SALT Gun
Looking for a gift for the dad who has everything? Well, does he already have a BUG-A-SALT gun for killing flies? You know pretty much every dad out there would have a blast with this gift, no pun intended. As of 2023 this gun comes in at just under $50!
13. Amazfit Band Smart Watch
Pablo and I both own Amazfit bands and they are great if you’re looking for a basic smart watch that counts steps and notifies you when someone texts. I love that they work well and don’t break the bank!
14. Echo Dot Smart Speaker
Last but not least on my list of $50 and under gift ideas for dads is the Echo Dot smart speaker with clock. While the listed price is over $50, it’s often on sale around the holidays and you can snag it for sometimes as low as $35.
