Happy December first!!
The last of my out-of-town family headed out earlier this week and I’m starting to get back into the swing of things. I’m always sad when special times with family end and everyone has to go back home, but at the same time there’s also something nice about getting back into the old routine (and getting my house cleaned up!)
As you may have noticed, I’ve been a bit absent on here over this Thanksgiving holiday but I’m ready to get going again – at least for the next three weeks – and then Christmas is upon us!
Just a couple things today:
First off, isn’t that picture of Caleb decorating the tree the cutest thing ever?? Ok, ok, I know I’m a bit biased. But I really enjoyed watching him decorate the tree for the first time this year. This is the first year that I feel like he can really enjoy different Christmas activities and that’s making it all the more special for me! Here’s one more picture because I just can’t resist… plus Sofia’s little face looking on in the background is awesome. 🙂
Secondly, if you want to do something with your kids to count down to Christmas, check out this Advent Activity Pack. I especially like the idea of doing a countdown with the names of Jesus. Can’t wait to do something like this with Caleb and Sofia when they’re a bit older.
Last of all, since today is the first of December I’m starting a new Bible writing plan! Last month I worked through one on God’s sovereignty – and I’kinda fell off the wagon towards the end of the month with all the busyness – but I’m ready to get going again with this new plan. I’d love for you to join me!
I’m excited about everything this month has in store. Here on the blog you can look for a book review, a post detailing how I get my kiddos clothes for cheap, and some yummy Christmas recipes among other things. Stay tuned! 🙂
