Can you believe April is here already? I love this time of year so much! I’m excited for Easter in a few weeks and thought I’d share a few Easter favorites with you today.
First and foremost, Easter is a time to remember what Jesus Christ did for us on the cross and His miraculous resurrection 3 days later. In Christ Alone, one of my favorite ever hymns, tells that story in such a beautiful and powerful way.
The beautiful lettering of both the words and music, pictured below, was done by a professional calligrapher (who also happens to be my dad!) It will be hanging on our wall as soon as I get around to choosing a good frame. Find this print and more in my dad’s Etsy shop here!
Another awesome thing to have on your wall especially at Easter time is this gorgeous resurrection printable from The 36th Avenue. I can’t wait to print it (it’s free!) and to enjoy being reminded of the truth that “I know that my Redeemer lives.”
Less important but oh-so-fun are all the happy foods we enjoy on Easter. And by foods of course I mean desserts. 😉 I had a lot of fun making these cute little “bird nests” last year! I got my inspiration from Pinterest of course: you can find the original recipe pinned on my Easter/spring board.
Another great Easter dessert is carrot cake, and a carrot cake roll is a fun twist on the classic. Here’s the recipe for the one I made last year. (Yes, I made two desserts last year!)
If you’re in need of some Easter/spring decor I just LOVE these painted mason jars. My sister made some very similar to these and they are just adorable!
Finally, this resurrection banner would make a great backdrop to your Easter dinner to remind you of what it’s all about. Plus it’s free so you can’t beat that!
