Since we moved here last November we’ve been slowly but surely getting things up on the wall and making this place homier. Shortly before Sofia was born we decided to put a photo collage up on the wall in our one little hallway. I snapped a few pictures on my phone of the process and here I am finally posting about it!
We decided to keep things simple by using black frames because we already had a good many and only had to buy a few more. We also picked up a black “G” for 50% off at Hobby Lobby to add something different.
Because we had so many pictures to hang we definitely wanted to make sure to lay everything out and have it all just right before starting to pound nails into the wall.
I took a long time arranging and re-arranging the frames on the ground until I got the look that I was going for. Then we placed the frames on a huge piece of paper and marked exactly where they were and where we’d need to put the nails.
Once we were done with that we taped the huge paper to the wall and stuck pins where the nail holes were supposed to be. Then we just removed all of that, pounded the nails into the pin-holes and hung our collage!
It was hard to get a good picture because our hall is so skinny but at least you get the idea. 🙂
It may seem silly to fool around with the paper and everything but it was worth the extra effort for us to have everything placed just how we wanted it without a lot of mess ups.
Anyway, that’s it for today! Thanks for stopping by my blog. 🙂
