Every time a new year rolls around I like to take at least a little time to think about my goals for the next year. When I don’t take the time to do that, I feel behind at the very beginning of the year and it just doesn’t feel like a great start. This New Year’s Eve Pablo and I spent a nice, quiet evening at home (don’t we sound old? haha) We took a little time that evening to each sit down and write out some personal goals as well as family goals and then we talked about them together. It was fun and it made me excited about the new year!
I was amazed to realize that I’ve had this blog for almost a year now. My goal when I started it last February was to blog consistently until the end of the year and then re-evaluate. While sometimes life has gotten in the way and my posts haven’t been as consistent as I would have liked, overall I am happy with how much I was able to post this past year. This blog has become my little hobby and I’m excited to continue it for this next year.
My goal is to post on here twice a week. I know that when the baby comes in May I’ll have to take a break for a while but at least it’s something to shoot for! I hope to continue posting recipes and family updates but would also like to do a few more book reviews this year. I’ll be posting later this week about a few of the books on my “must-read” list for 2016!
Besides my goals for the blog, some of my other personal goals (in case you’re curious) include:
- being more consistent at reading my Bible and praying
- keeping close tabs on our budget (and sticking to it!)
- limiting my time on facebook
- re-joining my exercise accountability group which I opted out of during the holidays
- making a weekly cleaning schedule
- trying two new recipes a month (one a week last year was a bit too ambitious)
What are some of your goals for this year? Feel free to share!
