Today I want to share with you the SUPER simple way that I like to prepare tilapia fillets. Here’s what you’ll need:
– Baking pan
– Foil
– Frozen tilapia fillets
– Butter
– Thyme
– Seasoned salt
– Chopped onion
First, place one frozen fillet on a square piece of foil. Place a pat of butter on top and sprinkle the fillet liberally with thyme and seasoned salt. Finally, add some chopped onion, as much as you desire. Do this for all the fillets you want to bake.
Next, fold the foil up around the fillets carefully to create nice little packets and stick them on a baking sheet.
Bake in the oven at 350 for about 25 minutes or until the fillets flake apart easily when tested with a fork.
And that’s all folks. It’s that easy!
I like to keep tilapia fillets on hand in the freezer because this recipe is perfect for when I just need to throw something together. Paired with the potato wedges I shared here or some seasoned rice, these baked tilapia fillets make for a healthy and satisfying meal. 🙂
