I can’t believe that you are two years old today.
In many ways the past two years have flown by, but at the same time it’s hard to even remember what day-to-day life was like before we met you.
The moment that I pulled you up to my chest when you were born will probably always remain as one of the most incredible moments of my life. I was surprised how chunky you were, with dark hair and beautiful dark eyes. My “little squishy”, as your aunts affectionately nicknamed you.
Watching your personality develop in the two years since that day has been so fun. You are energetic and cuddly, dramatic but also super tough. You are one smart little girl, amazing Daddy and I with how fast you have learned to talk and to sing. I love seeing what a little nurturer you are – you have such a sweet, empathetic nature.
You keep us laughing with the funny things you say, like the way that you stick the word “ever” into your sentences: “I can’t do it EVER mama!!” and the dramatic way you tell us that you’re “so hungry and starving!”
We love your big hugs and kisses and hope you don’t grow out of giving them any time soon.
You add SO much to our family. You are a perfect gift from God and I am so blessed to be your Mommy. I know God has great plans for your life and I’m excited to see all that you become (but please don’t grow up too fast!) I love you!!
