Have you ever made a frittata? I just recently discovered them and they are awesome. They’re are super easy to throw together but they look really fancy; that’s definitely a win-win in my book!
Fritttas are also great for when you want to save a little money and just eat what you have on hand. Obviously you need eggs, but beyond that you can get pretty creative with what other ingredients you add in. They are a great way to use up extra veggies! My recipe calls for turkey sausage (the same kind I use in this recipe) but a vegetarian option would be even cheaper.
Frittatas are perfect for when you’re in the mood for something savory for breakfast or brunch, and they definitely make for a great lunch or dinner too.
When I first looked up frittata recipes on Pinterest I came across this article/infographic which was super helpful. I still go back to it to review the basics, although my Easy Sausage Frittata recipe is a little different.
To make a frittata you will need a frying pan/skillet that can go from the stove-top to the oven. We have this cast iron skillet and love it.
I didn’t get a good picture of my frittata in the skillet but here it is already plated:
And here’s the recipe for my Easy Sausage Frittata!
