It’s the time of year for buying gifts!! Sooo today I thought I’d share with you some of my favorite things for toddlers, in case you’re in need of gift ideas for any kiddos in your life. 😉
Don’t worry, I didn’t just browse the internet and pick stuff out at random; these are all things that we own and love and heartily recommend. I’m listing them in order from least expensive on up because I know that’s how I always like to look at lists!
Also, since my two-year old happens to be a boy there’s nothing extra girly here but I fully expect that Sofia will enjoy everything on this list once she’s old enough… she already prefers teething on Caleb’s toys rather than her own haha!
Anyway, with all that said, here goes:
Good old matchbox – I loved them when I was little and now Caleb does too! He could probably play with his cars all day long, as long as I’m playing with him of course. 😉 Matchbox cars make awesome little stocking stuffers or can be great as bigger gifts like the set pictured above. Plus, they are small and don’t take up much storage space. Love them!
You can never have too many books! These are a few of our current favorites (although it was hard to pick!)
Every kid needs a classic teddy bear! <3 Caleb’s was given to him but this one looks similar! (And yes, in case you’re wondering, I have a weakness for stuffed animals haha)
My family passed on a bag of Mega Bloks to us when my little siblings were done with them and we love them! Caleb likes to play with them in conjunction with his Matchbox cars… you can make great garages with these blocks haha. 😉 I love that they are sturdy and a great size for little hands to work with.
5. Melissa & Doug Carrier Truck and Cars
We got this cute set for Caleb last Christmas and he’s gotten a lot of enjoyment out of it. Plus, isn’t it just so cute? I love Melissa & Doug stuff! (Also FYI the car wheels are the correct width for playing on typical train track play sets if that matters to you.)
6. Melissa & Doug Wooden Building Blocks
Another great Melissa & Doug item! We got these on sale last Christmas and saved them for Caleb’s second birthday this summer. These are awesome quality blocks; they are smooth with slightly rounded edges and come in a great wooden box. Definitely a worth while purchase in my opinion.
A kind friend just passed this wagon on to us and we are LOVING it! It’s super easy to pull and I love that I can buckle Caleb in so that he’s not constantly moving around and trying to climb out. Caleb loves pulling it too (actually he’d much prefer that haha) and he enjoys raising and lowering the seat backs and filling the wagon with whatever he wants to pull around. If you’ve been wanting a wagon this is definitely a great one to look at.
And that’s it! What are some of your favorite toy/gift ideas for two-year-olds? I’m not done shopping for Christmas so I’d love to hear them!!
