1. A watch is convenient

I’d forgotten how convenient it is to be able to quickly glance at my watch for the time. I’m not sure why I let myself go so long without one! Sure, I can check my phone or look at one of the clocks around my house, but nothing is at fast as a quick glance at the watch that’s right there on my wrist.

2. A watch gives you one less reason to check your phone

Speaking of checking the time, how often have you gone to check the time on your phone and then looked up a few minutes later to realize that you checked Facebook and Instagram but you still don’t know what time it is? Yeah, that’s happened to me more than once.

I struggle with spending too much time on my phone in general. I’ve written about the importance of putting down your phone here on the blog, but honestly it’s something I continually need to work on, especially because I want to be a good example to my kids in this area. Wearing a watch is one great way for me to use my phone a bit less!

3. A watch makes a great teaching tool for your kids

I realized the other day that ALL the clocks in my home are digital. Not going to be too helpful when I start teaching my kids about how to tell time! However, now that I’m wearing a watch regularly I can use it to let my kids practice telling me the time throughout our day.

4. A watch is a beautiful accessory

I maybe should’ve mentioned this one first! Watches are wonderful accessories and a beautiful watch will automatically take your outfit up a notch.
