Hi friends! I’ve been wanting to share some pictures of our new home and what better time to do it than when it’s all decorated for Christmas? So, here’s my simple and cozy Christmas home tour!
I’m excited about today’s post because not only am I showing you pictures of my own home decorated for Christmas, but at the end I’ll be linking to some of my blogger friends who are doing their own cozy Christmas home tours!
I think it’s so fun and inspiring to see all the unique ways that people decorate their homes for Christmas. I really hope you’ll check out all their beautiful posts too!
My Cozy Christmas Home Tour
We moved into this home last month. After all the expenses that come with moving and buying new furniture (we purchased a new couch/love seat set and a new-to-us dining set) I didn’t want to spend much on Christmas decor this year.
Besides our tree and some lights (because we seem to need to replace some every year) I pretty much just used what I already had in my Christmas bin. There are a few things I hope to add next year now that we’re in a little bigger home, so I’ll be watching for some good mark-downs after Christmas!
Okay, let’s get going.
Welcome to my living room!
Pablo bought this beautiful nativity scene back before we were married. I love it and think it fits so well here on our mantle.
I got these three little bottle brush trees from Walmart for less than a buck a piece (the only Christmas decor items I purchased this year.) I love how they look on top of these beautiful old books.
Pablo and I bought this Noel sign and the two stockings for our first Christmas together and I still love them.
Our TV sits on this bureau. I kept the decor around it simple with this tiny Christmas tree, a candle, and some branches I got from our yard. On the other side of the TV I placed a little plate with some shiny ornaments and a pine cone.
This is our dining room! The only new decor in here is the poinsettia that Pablo bought me.
Since we don’t have curtains in here I thought it would be fun to add a little banner over the windows. We’ve had these large snowflakes for several years and they worked perfectly strung up with some yarn.
I love this glass bowl with ornaments for a centerpiece on our table. The large platter keeps it practical since we always like to keep napkins and salt and pepper on the table.
My Grandma gave me this nativity when I was little – five I think – and it’s very special to me. I placed some evergreen branches around it that I saved when we bought our tree this year.
Last but not least, here’s our little coffee spot in the kitchen. I think that placing an ornament by my little plant makes it look a bit like a “Charlie Brown tree”.
And now for a little more fun! It’s time for a Holiday Home Hop! Stop by my friends’ homes on this “cozy” home tour.
It’s so fun to see all the unique ways that everyone decorates their homes for Christmas. You’re going to love each of these homes!
